ABSTRACT
We propose and demonstrate a photonic scheme to generate transmit dual-band dual-chirp microwave waveforms based on single dual-polarization dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator (DP-DPMZM), which structure is simple compact. The center frequencies of the generated signals are frequency-doubling can be adjusted flexibly independently meet practical requirement radar systems. Moreover, chromatic dispersion-induced power fading (CDIP) eliminated by appropriately adjusting direct current biases achieve carrier-suppressed single-sideband (CS-SSB) modulation. proposed method theoretically analyzed experimentally proved. Dual-band with 12 GHz, 17 8 14 GHz successfully generated. In addition, signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) pulse compression performance evaluated. suitable for systems conduct target detection, Doppler blind speed elimination, one-to-multi base station transmission.
