ABSTRACT
Dynamic metasurface antenna (DMA), an emerging technology with reconfigurable elements and reduced physical size, brings a new possibility to massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. Moreover, simultaneous wireless information power transfer (SWIPT), key in Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks, allows for communication charging without wired infrastructures energy receivers. It is often combined MIMO enhance overall performance. Motivated by this, we aim investigate sum-rate maximization problem guaranteed harvesting requirements the DMA-assisted SWIPT downlink transmission systems, so-called MetaSWIPT. challenging due its non-convexity jointly optimizing DMA weights digital precoding vectors. We propose efficient algorithmic scheme deal this Numerical results demonstrate that, under same array can achieve better spectral efficiency (SE) than conventional while also guaranteeing requirements.
