ABSTRACT
In this study, in order to realize an assist of independent life for the elderly or people need care and relieve a physical burden worker, active support splint driven by pneumatic soft actuator (ASSIST) has been developed. ASSIST consists plastic interface with palm arm two rotary-type actuators put both sides appliance. paper, fundamental characteristics is described, then effectiveness experimentally discussed. Finally, operation based on human intention described.
