ABSTRACT
This paper considers channel estimation and achievable rates for the uplink of a massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system where base station is equipped with one-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). By rewriting nonlinear quantization using linear expression, we first derive simple insightful expression minimum mean-square-error (LMMSE) estimator. Then employing this estimator, closed-form lower bound rate maximum ratio combiner (MRC) receiver. Numerical results are presented to verify our analysis show that proposed LMMSE estimator outperforms near likelihood (nML) previously.
