ABSTRACT
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been widely recognized as a promising way to scale up the number of users, enhance spectral efficiency, and improve user-fairness in wireless networks, by allowing more than one user share resource. NOMA can be flexibly combined with many existing technologies emerging ones including multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), massive MIMO, millimeter wave communications, cognitive cooperative visible light physical layer security, energy harvesting, caching, so on. Combination these further increase scalability, greenness future communication networks. This paper provides comprehensive survey interplay between above technologies. The emphasis is on how techniques benefit from vice versa. Moreover, challenges research directions are identified.
