ABSTRACT
Abstract The Patient‐Centered Outcomes Research Institute ( PCORI ) was established by Congress in 2010 to promote the conduct of research that could better inform patients making decisions reflect their desired health outcomes. has five national priorities for around which specific funding opportunities are issued: 1) assessment prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options; 2) improving healthcare systems; 3) communication dissemination research; 4) addressing disparities; 5) methods conducting patient‐centered outcomes research. To date, implementation emergency care setting been limited, part because perceived challenges meeting such as need focus on a disease state or have planned follow up. We suggest these same factors seen performing within also potential strengths be leveraged This paper explores unique highlights areas alignment each priority.
