ABSTRACT
This study aimed to assess radiographic and tomographic cardiac parameters, including width length of the heart, ratio heart coelom blue-fronted Amazon parrots (Amazona aestiva) with varying body condition scores. Thirty-five captive birds were included in allocated into one three groups according their respective score: lean, ideal obese. No differences observed among regard measurements. Computed tomography enabled better identification structures cardiovascular system without interference from overlying celomatic cavity images. However, examinations should still be considered standard screening method identify alterations, such as increased or reduced organ dimensions. Standardizing techniques measurements performed this may serve a basis for further research field.
