ABSTRACT
We aimed to evaluate the effects of intratunical injection exosomes derived from human urine-derived stem cells (USC-exo) on plaque formation and erectile function in a transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) induced Peyronie's disease (PD) rat model. Twenty-four SD rats were randomly assigned equally three groups: (I) Sham group (50 μl phosphate-buffered saline [PBS] injected into tunica albuginea [TA]), (II) PD (0.5 μg TGF-β1 50 PBS TA) (III) USC-exo ug plus 100 TA at same day). The maximum intracavernous pressure (ICPmax) mean arterial (MAP) each evaluated 4 weeks after injection. formation, fibrosis, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) tissue inhibitor MMPs (TIMPs) evaluated. Four injection, showed more significantly enhanced ICPmax ICPmax/MAP than (p < .05). could ameliorate fibrosis that be associated with inhibition transdifferentiation fibroblasts myofibroblasts, decreased expression TIMPs (TIMP-1, 2, 3) increased activity (MMP-1, 3, 9) TA. According these findings, can new candidate for prevention PD.
