ABSTRACT
The association between the Y chromosome haplogroup D2 and risk of azoospermia low sperm motility has been previously studied, it was indicated that haplogroups DE (YAP lineage) are associated with prostate cancer in Japanese males. Our assumption had may be sex hormone levels, because hormones have deemed responsible for spermatogenesis carcinogenesis. In this study, we assessed including those testosterone, hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), follicle-stimulating (FSH), luteinizing (LH), inhibin-B, calculated free testosterone (cFT), 901 young men from general population (cohort 1) 786 proven fertility 2). We found D2a1 significantly high LH levels a combined analysis involving two cohorts (β = 0.068, SE 0.025, p 0.0075), following correction multiple testing. To date, result is first evidence implicates an levels.
