ABSTRACT
Background The systemic inflammation score (SIS), as calculated from preoperative serum albumin level and lymphocyte‐to‐monocyte ratio, has been demonstrated to be a prognostic marker in cancer. present study intended investigate the role of SIS gastric cancer patients after curative gastrectomy comparison with other markers. Methods Preoperative was retrospectively who underwent between 2007 2011 Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. accuracy each compared utilizing time‐dependent receiver operating characteristics analysis. Results higher associated older age, larger tumour size, more advanced tumour‐nodes‐metastasis stage lymph node status, deeper invasion, presence lymphovascular invasion poorer overall survival disease‐free survival. In analysis, had area under curve for prediction 5‐year than neutrophil lymphocyte ratio. maintained predictive superiority throughout observation period. Conclusion is useful gastrectomy.
