ABSTRACT
To determine the concentrations of CC chemokines CCL2, CCL7, CCL8, CCL11, CCL13, CCL20, CCL24 and CCL26 in aqueous humour (AH) samples from patients with specific uveitic entities.Aqueous active uveitis associated Behçet's disease (BD) (n = 13), sarcoidosis 8), HLA-B27-related inflammation 12), Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) 12) control 9) were assayed use a multiplex assay. When considering all as one group, chemokine levels except CCL2 significantly increased compared to controls. CCL13 CCL20 most strongly upregulated, 48-fold, 118-fold 173-fold, respectively, above AH levels. CCL8 higher HLA-B27-associated than VKH disease. BD, In addition, BD uveitis, upregulated 111-fold, 255-fold 465-fold, nongranulomatous (BD uveitis) granulomatous (sarcoidosis disease).Immune responses mediated by appear be more potent particularly uveitis.
