ABSTRACT
The tropical gar (Atractosteus tropicus) is one of the most important commercial species in south-eastern Mexico, being studied reproductive, physiological, nutrition and cultivation aspects; however, aspects related to endocrine system are unknown, mainly expression hormones during their larval development. In this study, we investigated insulin gene (INS) growth hormone (GH), embryonic period (egg), eleutheroembryon (3 DAH) up 25 DAH using RTq-PCR, normalized with elongation factor EF1-α. INS phylogenetic inference showed an amino acid identity 97%, while GH 99% against sequence Lepisosteus oculatus, indicating that these come from a common ancestor. four peaks at 3, 7, 11 19 DAH, corresponding changes diet (Artemia nauplii) artificial foods. was detected egg, increasing day 15 DDE, concluding A. tropicus larvae early high expressions hormones, direct relationship metabolism species, its function according nutrients present food increase ontogeny tropicus.
