ABSTRACT
A 74-year-old man presented at our hospital with complaints of abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. He had undergone laparoscopic radical cystectomy ileal conduit for urinary bladder cancer 1 month earlier. The patient distention, resonant sounds on percussion, diffuse tenderness without rebound or guarding. Abdominal CT revealed dilated jejunal loops herniated through a cord-like structure. Based these findings, emergency surgery was performed, intestinal dilatation into the space between ureter, conduit, sacral bone detected. were released manually not resected. To best knowledge, this is first case report small bowel obstruction due to internal hernia caused by ureter after conduit. Retroperitonealization minimum required mobilization ureters may be necessary when diversion constructed, especially in robotic surgeries.
