Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are the most widely prescribed in world due to their analgesic, antipyretic and effects. However, NSAIDs inhibit prostanoid synthesis, interfering with pro-inflammatory functions potentially prolonging acute inflammation.
