ABSTRACT
Podocytes maintain the structure and function of glomerular filtration barrier. However, podocytes have recently been implicated in innate immune response, their as non-haematopoietic antigen-presenting cells was highlighted. We shown previously that excessive expression chemokine CXCL13 is a distinctive early event for nephritis murine model systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Furthermore, we found elevated significantly serum patients with SLE-nephritis. In this study, were able to show first time (i) expressed locally glomeruli SLE-nephritis mice (ii) incubation human induces receptor stimulation CXCR5 activation signalling pathways, resulting (iii) secretion proinflammatory cytokines chemokines culture supernatant. This cytokine/chemokine cocktail can lead (iv) neutrophil respiratory burst isolated granulocytes. Taken together, our results provide further evidence involved pathogenesis glomerulonephritis play an active role local responses. Thus, could be direct target therapy general particular.
