ABSTRACT
Abstract Aims Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is a major cause of stroke in young and middle‐aged adults. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence post‐CVT employability decline identify factors associated with unemployment. Methods We identified patients first diagnosed acute/subacute CVT at Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University (January 2018 June 2021) invited all survivors clinical 6‐months follow‐up visit after onset. Baseline data were collected from admission. A modified Rankin Scale (mRS) employment status used assess functional outcomes. Multivariate logistic regression was independent Results total 303 eligible for this study, 131 (42.23%) could not return work 6‐month discharge. After adjusting age sex multivariate analysis, motor deficits, aphasia, mental disorders, recurrence, National Institutes Health Stroke (NIHSS) score admission, mRS 0–2 independently CVT. Among 263 whose showed favorable outcome, 102 unable their previous risk impaired ability aphasia recurrence. Conclusions Impaired NIHSS Even if they recover without physical disability, good prognosis have higher failure due rates
