ABSTRACT
Clinical surveillance of the prevalence contact allergy in consecutively patch tested patients is a proven instrument to continually assess importance allergens (haptens) assembled baseline series.To present current results from European Surveillance System on Contact Allergies, including 13 countries represented by 1 11 departments.Anonymized or pseudonymized test and clinical data various capture systems used locally nationally as transferred Erlangen centre were pooled descriptively analysed after quality control.In 4 years (2015-2018), 51 914 with series (EBS) analysed. nickel was most frequent (17.6% positive), followed fragrance mix I (6.9%), methylisothiazolinone (MI; 6.2%), Myroxylon pereirae resin (balsam Peru; 5.8%).While MI decreased substantially following regulatory intervention, persistently high levels metals, fragrances, other preservatives, rubber chemicals point problems needing further research and, potentially, preventive efforts. Results national additions provide important information substances possibly be considered for inclusion EBS.
