ABSTRACT
Abstract Background The Hand Eczema Severity Index (HECSI) is a Clinician‐Reported Outcome measure of the severity hand eczema (HE). Objectives This study aimed to evaluate validity, reliability and ability detect change HECSI, HECSI‐75 HECSI‐90 as responder definitions. Methods Analyses were performed using data from sample n = 258 patients with Chronic (CHE) Phase 2b, randomised, double‐blind, vehicle‐controlled trial delgocitinib cream, pooled across treatment groups. measurement properties HECSI assessed adequacy definitions was explored through cross‐tabulation. Results Inter‐item correlations provided support for scoring, whereby items are grouped by areas hand. demonstrated good test–retest intra‐class >0.70. Construct validity supported logical pattern concurrent measures significant differences in scores groups ( p < 0.001). responsive statistically improvements over time 0.001) between improved stable Data both within‐patient Conclusions has strong CHE severity. appropriate
