ABSTRACT
The goal of this European Society Coloproctology (ESCP) guideline project is to give an overview the existing evidence on management diverticular disease, primarily as a guidance surgeons.The was developed during several working phases including three voting rounds and one consensus meeting. two leads (JKS EA) appointed by ESCP committee together with member (WB) agreed methodology, decided six themes for groups (WGs) drafted list research questions. Senior WG members, mostly colorectal surgeons within ESCP, were invited based publication records geographical aspects. Other specialties included in WGs where relevant.
