ABSTRACT
Abstract The management of corticosteroids refractory chronic graft versus host disease ( cGVHD ) remains controversial. Retrospective analysis patients treated at the Integrated Center Oncology by total nodal irradiation TNI was performed to evaluate its therapy potency. delivers a dose 1 Gy in single session. delimitation fields is clinical (upper limit: external auditory meatus; lower mid‐femur). No pre‐therapeutic dosimetry scanner necessary. Evaluation efficacy measures 6 months after treatment. Twelve were between January 2010 and December 2013. used second‐line treatment or beyond. median time allograft 31.2 months, first manifestations about 24.2 months. Of 12 patients, nine had response (75%), including five complete responses (41.6%). Five could benefit from reduction corticosteroid doses. Three hematologic toxicity. be considered as an option for cutaneous and/or soft tissues . However, prospective randomized double‐blind trials remain essential answer questions safety effectiveness.
