ABSTRACT
Colorectal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) has become common in recent years. Suitable lesions for treatment include not only early colorectal carcinomas but also many types of precarcinomatous adenomas. It is important to establish practical guidelines which the preoperative diagnosis neoplasia and selection procedures are properly outlined, ensure that actual useful safe general hospitals when carried out accordance with guidelines. In cooperation Japanese Society Cancer Colon Rectum, Coloproctology, Gastroenterology, Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy recently compiled a set ESD/endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) using evidence-based methods. The focus on diagnostic therapeutic strategies caveat before, during, after ESD/EMR and, this regard, exclude specific procedures, proper use instruments, devices, drugs. Although eight areas, ranging from indication pathology, were originally planned inclusion these guidelines, evidence was scarce each area. Therefore, grades recommendation determined largely through expert consensus areas.
