ABSTRACT
Objective Myocardial performance index ( MPI , Tei index) has been described as a noninvasive measurement of left ventricle LV ) function. Our aim was to investigate the influence preload on obtained by pulsed‐wave tissue Doppler imaging PWTDI and determined flow waveforms in patients with end‐stage chronic renal failure CRF ). The second this study relationship between indices both methods. Methods Eighty‐four regular hemodialysis HD treatment were included (mean age 45.3 ± 14.5 years). Standard echocardiographic measurements, conventional methods, mitral inflow velocities, lateral annulus velocities measured immediately before after hemodialysis. Results After weight loss significantly revealed (predialysis 63.6 13.3 kg; postdialysis 60.9 13.0 P < 0.001). Left atrium diameters decreased . Transmitral E A Although measuring method increased, did not change Conclusions Doppler‐derived is influenced However, ‐derived loading status patient should be taken into account during application evaluation myocardial performance.
