ABSTRACT
Abstract The sex pheromone of P hyllonorycter ringoniella ( M atsumura) L epidoptera: G racillariidae) has been identified to be a blend Z )‐10‐tetradecenyl acetate 10‐14: OA c) and E 4, 10‐tetradecadienyl in J apan, K orea, C hina. However, the commercial product based on previous results is not attractive enough used for monitoring controlling apple leafminer populations field. We re‐investigated attractiveness two components, singly blends, orchards S hangdong haanxi, main apple‐growing provinces Our revealed that c alone was . male moths field, but only strongly caught more males than any blends tested. most ratios differed slightly locations. No clear dose–response relationship obtained 2:8 c. field study showed 1 mg per lure achieved highest moth catch. These findings differ from report best data major component
