ABSTRACT
Abstract The larvae of black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens (L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae), are an excellent source feed for animals and have emerged as a promising candidate waste disposal. larval growth can be impacted by the intake heavy metals. However, underlying mechanism metal tolerance gut microbiome is still poorly understood, well how metals, especially in combination, affect communities bacteria gut. Therefore, this study we focus on Cu Zn microbiome, bioaccumulated metals distributed residues bodies. biomass was both significantly improved inhibited exposure to low high concentration, respectively, including combination. amount accumulated bodies increases concentration increased. In bodies, more likely (57.2%–78.5%) than (<40%). More importantly, found remarkably altered exposure, particularly species phyla Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes. addition, with exception at 400 mg kg −1 diversity complexity bacterial community decreased. Functional genes related resistance transport, such pcoB , pcoD copC pccA ABC.ZM.S yahk were clearly enriched gut, which may help partly account ability fly tolerate
