ABSTRACT
Summary Dothistroma needle blight (DNB) is among the most serious foliar diseases affecting Pinus spp. globally. Infected needles were collected from potential host species in four locations western Ukraine and eastern Georgia during spring–summer 2015 to update knowledge on pathogen distribution these countries. detected using isolation, sequencing species‐specific priming (SSPP) PCR. Two new hosts for recorded Ukraine: D. septosporum nigra var. australica pini P. mollet . was found 15‐year‐old strobus Ukraine. New 5‐ 10‐year‐old naturally regenerated sylvestris hamata 40‐ 50‐year‐old ponderosa trees. first time 30‐ 40‐year‐old The work confirmed presence of both Georgia, demonstrated species.
