ABSTRACT
The buffering capacity and inhibitory effects on enamel demineralization of two commercially available dental sealants were evaluated in this study. filler particles also examined. Disks cured sealant materials BeautiSealant (silica or S‐PRG filler) Teethmate F‐1 incubated lactic acid solutions ( pH 4.0) for 1–6 d. changes amounts ions released the assessed, surfaces observed using a scanning electron microscope. solution with (S‐PRG was neutralized from 4.0 to 6.1 (after incubation 1 d) 6.7 6 d). In addition, no release calcium detected surface morphologically intact microscopy images. However, remained below during days 6. Calcium increased up after d incubation. Scanning images showed that structures hydroxyapatite rods exposed at specimen as result demineralization. Ions filler‐containing rapidly buffered inhibited
