ABSTRACT
Abstract The increased risk of outbreaks plant pests due to globalization and climate change requires up‐to‐date knowledge quick validated detection identification methods. DNA barcoding sequence analysis are increasingly used for diagnostics in phytosanitary laboratories. These methods use (short) genomic sequences specific a well‐defined taxon species identification. EPPO‐Q‐bank database ( https://qbank.eppo.int/ ) supports pest focusing on recommended regulation the EPPO region their look‐alikes. It provides wide range information specimens, isolates, strains or populations available collections, including curated barcodes/sequence data. cornerstone this is its curation by team scientists with taxonomic, diagnostic expertise from National Plant Protection Organizations institutes connections relevant collections.
