ABSTRACT
Summary A 15‐year‐old Hanoverian gelding was admitted for evaluation of a firm, expansive mass about 5 cm in diameter, the horizontal ramus right mandible, between teeth 406 and 408. Histological examination revealed highly invasive ameloblastoma with severe secondary fibrosis. Resection tumour performed under general anaesthesia, 4.5 locking compression plate 14 holes placed over defect eight screws, filled Cerasorb M. The horse received radiation therapy dose 4.2 Gy every day 10 consecutive days. Twenty months after surgery, is good condition repeat biopsy showed no signs recurrence.
