ABSTRACT
Abstract Schizophrenia, as a stressful diagnosis, profoundly impacts the whole family, especially people with schizophrenia and their caregivers. This study tested potential mediating role of expressed emotion in association between mental health stigma quality life caregiver‐patient dyads. Using 2‐wave longitudinal design 6‐month interval assessments, 161 dyads patients family caregivers (one patient one caregiver) completed measures stigma, emotion, life. The results showed that patients' self‐stigma had no significant actor or partner effect on In contrast, caregivers' stigmatizing attitudes toward perception ideas was significant. By focusing interdependence caregivers, this highlights Psychoeducation interventions should not only aim to reduce but also patients. Family targeted at reducing EE level would benefit adaptation
