ABSTRACT
Anterior gradient 2 (AGR2), a member of protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) family, is both located in cytoplasm and secreted into extracellular matrix. The orthologs AGR2 have been linked to limb regeneration newt wound healing zebrafish. In mammals, influences multiple cell signaling pathways tumor formation normal functions related new tissue like angiogenesis. However, the function mammalian remains unknown. This study aimed investigate expression its during skin possible application external cutaneous accelerate process. Our results showed that was induced migrating epidermal tongue hyperplastic epidermis after excision. Topical recombinant significantly accelerated wound-healing process by increasing migration keratinocytes (Kera.) recruitment fibroblasts (Fibro.) near wounded area. External also promoted Kera. Fibro. vitro dose-dependent manner. adhesion domain required for focal adhesions Fibro., leading directional along gradient. These indicate accelerates through regulation migration, thus demonstrating potential utility as an alternative strategy therapeutics acute or chronic wounds.
