ABSTRACT
Abstract An ecological risk assessment was undertaken using productivity‐susceptibility analysis (PSA) to determine the relative vulnerability of 52 species caught by fisheries in waters off eastern Taiwan. Overall, eight and 20 were classified as having high moderate vulnerability, respectively, remaining 24 low vulnerability. The with highest scores mainly longline gillnet fisheries, highlighting need for improved data collection facilitate a more detailed investigation quantitative methods. quality indicated that “moderate” economically important species. However, many considered data‐limited thus collecting high‐resolution catch effort information conducting biological studies, especially relating age, growth reproduction, are recommended improve reliability outputs from assessments such PSA.
