ABSTRACT
To evaluate the feasibility and efficacy of computed tomography (CT)-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) cervical intervertebral discs for treatment discogenic cervicogenic headache (CEH).Some patients with CEH experience no obvious therapeutic effect after conventional therapy, particularly refractory originating from abnormal discs. Treatment this type remains poorly characterized.Using a single intervention arm, pretest/posttest design, we retrospectively analyzed data who underwent CT-guided RFA at Pain Medicine Center Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital January 2017 to April 2021. If conservative failed in CEH, classified as having performed We used numeric rating scale (NRS) assess pain intensity 6 months. also compared outcome different characteristics.A total 44 were enrolled 41 them present study. The preoperative median (25th, 75th) NRS score was 4 (4, 5), it significantly reduced 1 (0, 4) months (p < 0.001). number ≥50% their relieved 28 (68%). No serious treatment-related complications occurred Compared single-level RFA, multi-level shows greater effects on reduction = 0.032) relief rate 0.047) patients. In have appears be promising complications.
