ABSTRACT
Abstract Electrophoretic deposition ( EPD ) is now a well established colloidal processing technique which uses electrophoresis mechanism for the movement of suspended charged particles in suspension presence an electric field. In this work, electrophoretic BaZr 0.4 Ce Y 0.2 O 3‐δ BZCY ethanol medium was performed under different conditions on both conducting and non‐conducting (porous anode) substrate without using any external additives bath. Process parameters such as time, voltage, rate were studied various conditions. Green coating deposited potential (30, 50, 70V) uniform crack free, even at extended time deposition. Surface roughnesses have also been evaluated to correlate it with It found that higher compared (anode). XRD studies calcined powder exhibit expected simple cubic perovskite structure. The yield increases linearly voltage each substrates. porous anode heat treated 1500°C 2 hours dense adherent substrate. A film thickness about 13 μm obtained 70V. Such electrolyte +NiO (Half cell) could be utilized fabrication proton SOFC single cell by applying suitable cathode layer film.
