ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Notalgia paresthetica ( NP ) is a disorder characterized by pruritus localized to the patient's back. Little known about predictors of severity, duration, side, and localization. Objective To identify factors associated with perceived localization . Methods In cross‐sectional study, disease were compared among considered variables. Multivariate analysis was used assess each variable contribution in predicting severity its duration. Results Sixty‐five patients recruited. Disease involved more female than male (Female/Male: 1.6) after adjusting for all potential confounders, it as severe females OR = 7.3, 95% CI 2–26.3, P < 0.01). reported frequently on right side sleeping left conversely 0.05). A higher duration significantly linked body mass index 4.8, 1.3–17.1, Conclusion Our study gender worse longer prevailing sleep position expression. The should be possible target treating disease.
