ABSTRACT
To examine the efficacy and safety of posterior tension-free vaginal mesh (TVM-P) surgery using polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) (ORIHIME) for advanced prolapse. A retrospective cohort study was conducted involving patients who underwent TVM-P with PTFE pelvic organ prolapse quantification stage III or IV between December 2018 March 2023. All were followed a minimum 1 year postoperatively. The primary outcome recurrence rate in operated compartment. Secondary outcomes comprised other compartments, mesh-related complications, an analysis risk factors recurrence. Seventy-one during period. compartment 4.2%, while overall 18.3%. Eleven cases occurred within first year; 13 observed 3 years postsurgery. Patients experienced compartments had significantly higher incidence preoperative Ba point score ≥ -1 versus nonrecurrence group. Preoperative associated (crude odds ratio: 4.17, 95% confidence interval: 1.03-26.7; adjusted 2.58, 0.56-11.8). following rectoceles enteroceles 4.2%. These findings suggest that may be effective surgical option treating severe
