ABSTRACT
Abstract The experience of loneliness is common among international students who study in a foreign country, away from their home. Loneliness refers to the difference between actual and desired social relationships highlighting not only quantity but also quality relationships. We argue for perspective on that emphasizes its context rather than relying mainly individualistic or psychological interpretations prevalent thus far. In this article, we explore network predictors Chinese Germany. Through our analysis unique data set, show when compared local students, tend feel lonelier. Surprisingly, discover have same size, those with more emotionally supportive ties fewer ties. Not surprisingly, having romantic partner associated lower levels loneliness, especially they live country education.
