ABSTRACT
Summary As a pineal gland hormone, melatonin acts through its receptors to modulate the immune system. The system is composed of primary and secondary organs, organs are adapted presence fetal alloantigen during pregnancy. However, it unclear whether affects maternal early pregnancy in sheep. In this study, ovine thymus, lymph node, spleen liver were sampled at day 16 oestrous cycle, days 13, 25 expression receptor 1A (MT1), 1B (MT2) cluster differentiation 4 (CD4) was detected by quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot immunohistochemistry experiments. Our results showed that there an upregulation MT1 mRNA protein node liver, downregulation spleen. MT2 increased thymus but decreased no significant change CD4 upregulated changes conclusion, induces tissue‐specific MT1, CD4, which may be due different functions liver. Further, involved regulation
