ABSTRACT
Mental health in Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities is a rising public concern the UK, with key challenges around accessing mental services. Our understanding of issues growing Nepali Iranian UK very limited. Therefore, this study aims to explore major factors affecting access to, engagement NHS This used qualitative approach comprising in-depth interviews seven Nepali, eight Iranians six community workers south England. The data were analysed using thematic approach. Six themes identified: (1) stigma fear; (2) gender; (3) language; (4) tradition culture; (5) family involvement; (6) lack cultural awareness workers, all appearing be issues. contributes shared illness within two given contexts promote early interventions Developing cross-cultural perspectives care should priority practice.
