ABSTRACT
Aim To argue that nurse practitioners have been under‐utilized generally in the current global health environment, creating barriers to achieving universal coverage and Sustainable Development Goals. Background Nurse are advanced practice nurses possessing expert knowledge leadership skills can be optimized narrow disparities ensure access high‐quality care globally. Nurses worldwide challenged meet public needs context of COVID‐19 (SARS‐CoV‐2 virus), there early indications being called upon full extent their capabilities pandemic.
