ABSTRACT
Abstract This study proposes a strategic level decision method for yard cranes (YCs) transformation and deployment the purpose of building efficient energy‐saving green ports with low carbon emission. An integer programming model is embedded in above considering some technology YC transformation. The aim to minimize investment cost purchasing transforming YCs as well operation costs during planning horizon. A neighborhood descent particle swarm optimization algorithm developed solving proposed model. Real data based on numerical experiments are conducted verify effectiveness method. Take case Shanghai Yangshan Deep Water Port, emission reduced by 415,756.8 kg energy consumption saved 1,226,016 RMB. may be potentially useful practitioners decisions deployment.
