ABSTRACT
Nearly 80% of all burns include the hands affected individuals. Skin grafting is gold standard in treatment, but case burn wound bed, it may require necessity utilising skin substitutes to facilitate closure. The aim this study assess impact a porcine-derived dressing (Oasis™) for application hand compared synthetic (Suprathel™). Comparative assessments were made, including time heal, quality healing and pain intensity. A retrospective, unblinded, matching pair case-control was performed. control group 24 patients treated with Suprathel dressing, six underwent Oasis dressing. process evaluated by taking histopathological specimens also Bates-Jensen Wound Assessment Tool. 10-cm Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) used assessment. Other parameters measured included loss because infection need rehabilitation. progress on fourth day 30%. decrease level recorded after surgery. There 5% risk rehabilitation treatment group.
