ABSTRACT
Infections in burn patients are still the principal cause of complications injuries. The aim this study is to assess a new strategy for wound management view infection prevention and treatment experience Burn Treatment Center Siemianowice Śląskie. applied methodology involved analysis patient records describing hospital's epidemiological situation between 2014 2016. also included use cost antibiotics, silver‐containing dressings, other antiseptics relative number sepsis cases, including those caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa , as well mortality ratio. total costs infections were reduced, while dressings increased. with decreased, cases P. ratio was reduced. Introducing wound‐oriented provides benefits. It cost‐effective. Using locally active can be welcome choice often‐unnecessary antibiotic therapy suspected or existing infection.
