ABSTRACT
Abstract Despite increasing preventive efforts, pressure injury still occurs in intensive care patients. This study was aimed to describe prevalence, risk factors, and prevention practices adult a multi‐centre, one‐day, prospective point prevalence which total of 198 units from 21 provinces China participated. Overall ICU‐acquired patients were 12.26% 4.31%, respectively. Consistent with earlier reports, almost half the injuries at stage I, one‐fourth 2, most common body sites for sacral heel region. Risk factors identified consistent prior studies. Repositioning commonly used strategy, followed by alternating mattresses/overlays, floating heels, air‐filled mattresses/overlays. These reflect good level adherence recommended international clinical practice guidelines. The results provide baseline reference overall among China. Future research on what contributed lower incidence needs be conducted inform healthcare organisations their future strategies prevention.
