ABSTRACT
Abstract To evaluate DNA fingerprinting as an epidemiologic tool, pulsed‐field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) was performed on isolates of Salmonella , including S. typhimurium, thompson and enteritidis . Chromosomal digested with the restriction endonucleases Bln I Xba I. The patterns typhimurium from various sources were different one another. There no correlation between phage type digestion pattern isolates. Some strains belonging to distinguished by their PFGE in this study. These results suggest that chromosomal are useful for epidemiological analysis outbreak infection or food poisoning.
