ABSTRACT
Summary We investigated whether the increase in epidural pressure produced by jugular compression could be used as a test for correct placement of catheters 20 postpartum women who had good analgesia during labour. measured using catheter manometer, and rise meniscus response to vein whilst was still space. The then withdrawn until tip lay just outside space reassessed. In all subjects, only Jugular is useful confirming catheter.
