ABSTRACT
An 8-week feeding trial was conducted to investigate the optimum dietary protein and lipid levels for growth, feed utilization body composition of Pseudobagrus ussuriensis fingerlings (initial weight: 3.40 ± 0.01 g). Twelve diets containing four (350, 400, 450 500 g kg−1 crude protein) three (50, 100 150 lipid) were formulated. Fish randomly allotted 36 aquaria (1.0 × 0.5 0.8 m) with 25 fish each glass aquarium. fed twice daily (08:00 16:00) apparent satiation. The results showed that weight gain specific growth rate (SGR) decreased increasing level from 50 at same level. exhibited higher conversion ratio (P < 0.05), lower efficiency (PER) nitrogen retention (NRE) relative diet lipid. Weight SGR significantly increased 350 level, even a little decline in further increase kg−1. Daily intake, NRE PER affected by both 0.05) tended decrease levels. Whole-body content as decreased. muscle There no significant difference condition factor viscerosomatic index among diets. Hepatosomatic These suggest P/E 29.1 mg kJ−1 is optimal P. under experimental conditions used study.
