ABSTRACT
Published Italian archaeomagnetic data are combined with new from the Genève and Torino laboratories. A total of 74 directional is presented age estimates falling between 1300 BC to 1600 AD, including results volcanic deposits unquestionable age. The set has been analysed using Bayesian stochastic approach for curve building produce a preliminary secular variation (SV) curve. Comparison French SV shows general agreement but some significant differences also observed. can be used dating artefacts, even though caution must paid period 9th–12th century AD times older than 8th BC, when only few available error envelopes large.
