ABSTRACT
Between 1965 and 1973, 30 malignant tumours were found in patients transplanted Scandinavia. Of these tumours, 24 the 1,254 Scandinavia as part of Scandia Tranplant Programme between 1969 1972. Using information recorded programme, 418 Danish who received their first only transplant 1972 selected followed until 31/12 1973. Twelve occurred patients. A comparison with expected age, sex time-specific incidence rates from Cancer Register was made observed tumour to be significantly (P less than 0.001) greater expected. Tumour associated incompatibility FOUR series, but unrelated number rejections, presence HL-A antibodies difference donor recipient. Apart certain special forms immunosuppression which could oncogenic, cause development appears multifactorial, both allograft itself immunosuppressive treatment playing a role.
