ABSTRACT
Abstract. The glycoprotein (GP) localization of a new platelet‐specific allo‐antigen Yuk b is described. antibody was isolated from serum patient with neonatal allo‐immune thrombocytopenia. In immunoblot procedure, it bound exclusively to platelet GP IIIa, like anti‐Pl A1 , while the known anti‐Bak and anti‐Lek reacted IIb. Analysis chymotrypsin‐treated platelets anti‐Yuk revealed no binding in 68‐kilodalton position did. Thus, unlike P1 antigen, determinant either resides on 30‐kilodalton fragment IIIa or destroyed by chymotrypsin treatment.
