ABSTRACT
The amino acid sequence of the phosphorylase kinase δ subunit has been determined using cyanogen bromide peptides. These peptides were ordered by isolation tryptic containing carboxy[ 14 C]methylmethionine. protein is identical to bovine uterus calmodulin and differs from brain only in amide assignments. contains 148 acids, including one residue trimethyllysine, a molecular weight 16680. N terminus blocked, probably with an acetyl group, net overall charge at pH 7 –24. asparagine residues 60 97 have shown be partially deamidated protein. N‐terminal tripeptide assignments on 58 not unequivocally.
